Followed this fire all last night in my home town of Santa Barbara. Where did I find the most accurate and up to date information: Twitter I knew where the cops were evactuating homes at a moments notice because Twitter users would use their phones to tell the rest of Santa Barbara when they had to evac. Also interesting to see Twitter users in Santa Barbara asking the founders of Twitter not to have a schedule maintainace for Twitter today. Goes to show you that Twitter is the communication life line in natuarl disasters. Sending good karma to SB and hope rain comes soon.
